J C Hopkins is the son of the late Mr. Linzy and Mrs. Mille Hopkins. He was born February 25, 1929 in McLeansville, North Carolina.

He went to Guilford County Schools and later moved to New Jersey where he worked for Heavy & General Laborer’s for 45 years and then retired.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother (Mr. Linzy and Millie Hopkins), his wife Estella Hopkins, six brothers: Linzy Hopkins, O’neal Hopkins, Leversa Hopkins, Edward Hopkins, and John Hopkins and two sons: Clarence Hopkins and James (Jimmy) Hopkins.

He leaves to cherish his memories two step daughters: Florine Wall and Elouise Oakley, and one daughter-in-law Yvette Hopkins, and many grandchildren, great-grand’s and nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
