Mr. James Edward Morehead (Roy, Moe) was born November 5, 1947 in Brown Summit, NC to the late Thomas Clay and Mary Simpson Morehead. He departed this life on July 20, 2011.

Roy, as he was known by many, was educated in the Guilford Co. school system. James worked for 16 years for the Hilemn Laboratories of Greensboro, NC. In 1981 James was united in marriage to Rev. Lola N. Morehead. They have been married for 30 years.

Roy was the father of two sons and two daughters. James joined and was baptized at the United Institutional Baptist Church by the late Dr. Charles Anderson. He was loved and will be missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, Nancy Davis, Mary Alice Morehead, Bell Davis, a brother, Franklyn Davis, one daughter, Christie Wallace, and a brother Percy Morehead.

James is survived by his wife, Rev. Lola Morehead, of Seneca, SC, two sons, Scottie Hayes of Greensboro, NC, and Rodney Goldston of Wiston Salem, NC, one daughter Wanda Wallace of Albany, NY, three brothers, Willie Morehead, Bobby Morehead, and Silas Davis of Greensboro, NC, twin sisters, Sharon and Karen Davis of Greensboro, NC, 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Mrs. Bert Morehead of Greensboro, NC, 5 aunts, Susie Malloy, Clara Thompson, Virgie Morehead of Reidsville, NC, 3 uncles, John Morehead (Sadie) of Brown Summit, NC, James Simpson (Rosa) of High Point, NC, and Lee Simpson of Hawthrone, CA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Services for Mr. James Edward Morehead will be conducted  at Allen and Associates Chapel July 25, 2011 at 1:00 PM.  Visitation will be 12:30 Pm to 1:)) Pm before the service.
