Ms. Jeryl Lynn Moone Mayes, of 3071 Branch Road, Winston-Salem,NC, died on May 10, 2015 at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 12:00 noon at St. Phillip AME Zion Church, 1330 Ashe Street, Greensboro. She will be laid to rest at Lakeview Memorial Park. A native of Guilford County, she was an educator, working with young children. She is survived by sons; Anderson and Richard, Jr., both of Winston-Salem. Jordan, of Cary, NC. Her son, Kendrick, preceded her in death. Husband; Richard Mayes, Sr., of Winston-Salem. Brothers; Wesley Moone (Rhonda), and Anthony Moone, both of Charlotte. Sisters; Wanda Moone, of Greensboro, Rev. Donna Moone Butler (Rev. Dr. John), of Knoxville, TN., and Rev. Tracii Moone Miller, of Asheboro. Two grandchildren; Sophia, of Winston-Salem, and Vallorie, of Cary. Host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will begin at 11:00am.
