Malique M. Steens, 7 and his father, Marquis J. Steens, 31, departed their lives on October 23, 2010. Malique attended Faulkner Elementary School, while also playing football as quarterback for Windsor Center. Malique leaves behind his mother, Stacey N. Nickerson, two sisters: Deyana Peoples and Anijah Steens. One Brother, Jeremiah Isaiah Lynn-Steens. Grandmother, Carol D. McNeill, Great Grandmother/father, Nancy & Robert L. Dawkins. Four Uncles; Christian, Matthew, Zachary and Isaiah McNeill. Two Great-aunts: Susan McNeill, Angela (Daniel) Porter and a host of cousins.

Marquis is survived by his mother, Debra Steens-Simpson, his father Jesse Newman. Two brothers; Shawn Steens and James Simpson, Jr. ... Four aunts: Linda, Judy, Kristina and Sherri Steens.
