Mrs. Nancy Bohannon Venable died on July 10, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 12:00 noon at New Light Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.  A native of Winston-Salem, she was formerly employed with Ex-Port Leaf Tobacco Co.

Survivors are husband, Rev. Joseph W. Venable, Jr.,  two sons; William C. Bohannon (AKA Cisco Whittington), of Florida. Charles G. Bohannon, of Winston-Salem. One daughter, Kay F. Bohannon, of Greensboro. Seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 11:30am.
