Mr Osteen Swinton passed away on April 11, 2017. Osteen was born on June 18, 1926 in Nesmith, SC (Dorsey Town), South Caroilna to Robert Swinton and Lottie Swinton.

He proudly served his country durning the world War II Era in the United States Army.He was married to Laura Gordon. From this union, seven children were born, Betty Jean, Sula Merlyn, Theodis, Leon Rosalie, Larry and Ellis Jerome.

Osteen was a dedicated Christian who devoted his life to God, his family and others. He always taught his children to tell the truth and do whats right.

He was predceased by two daughters, Sula Swinton Gilmore and Rosalie Swinton Duncan; one son Theodis Swinton.

Osteen leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter, Betty Jean Smith of Bronx, NY; thrre sons, Leon Swinton of Winston-Salem, NC Larry (Debra) Swinton of Durham, NC and Ellis (Vernita) Swinton, Sr. of Summerfield, NC; his sister, Rosetta Thorton of Richmond, VA and Vivan S. Jones (John) of Sandhill, SC; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and freinds.

Osteen touched the lives of many people with his smile and geneosity.

The family is being served by by Henryhand Funeral of South Carolina with the asstance of Allen and Associates Mortuary Cremations.
